Introducing Faster, Easier Check-in with Phreesia

Check in Before Your Visit!

At RCIPS, our first priority is to serve you and your family with excellent healthcare. We’ve been paying close attention to feedback gathered through our post-appointment surveys and are actively working to improve our systems to better meet the needs of our patients. Now, we are excited to announce our partnership with Phreesia, a digital check-in platform designed to streamline and simplify your clinic or telehealth visit.

Introducing Phreesia

Phreesia leverages innovative technology to improve the patient experience in a healthcare setting. At River Cities Interventional Pain Specialists, this means implementing a new system that will allow you to complete your appointment check-in, paperwork, and health questionnaires on your own device from wherever is most convenient for you. You spend less time in the waiting room and more time getting the care you need.

Phreesia has been rated #1 in Patient Intake Management by KLAS in 2022 and Best in KLAS four years running.

This new feature will be a phased implementation beginning with our clinical practice, River Cities Interventional Pain Specialists.  For more information, please contact clinic or send a secure message through your Patient Portal.

What is Changing

You will receive everything you need to prepare for your appointment via text message or email. This means that you will be able to see what paperwork you need to complete in advance of your appointment and if we need any extra information from you to get ready. Then, you will be able to complete everything from your own device.

How it Works

Three days before your next appointment, you will receive a text message or email with a link to your personalized Phreesia invitation. When you receive the message, click the link and follow the prompts. There is no enrollment, registration, or password required!

No problem! We will have devices available for patients to check-in, and our front desk staff can help if you need assistance.

Q: Is Phreesia part of my "My Health Record" account?

No. You will only need to access Phreesia when you come in for an appointment or have a telehealth visit. “My Health Record” will not change.

Yes. But once you have completed the initial registration process in the system, your data will be saved and each subsequent check-in will include only what is needed per visit making check-in much quicker.

Q: Do I need to download an app to my mobile device?

No. There is no app – you simply click the link provided in the text message or email. This allows you to securely answer any registration and medical questions necessary for your appointment.

Q: What happens if I cannot complete my registration prior to my appointment?

That’s okay! If you have not completed your registration before the visit, see one of our front desk staff and they will be happy to send you a new link. Don’t worry, Phreesia saves information you entered previously so you won’t have to start over.
